World-renowned bariatric surgeon Dr. Michel Gagner is recognized for his contribution to minimally invasive bariatric surgeries as well as for developing and perfecting various weight loss surgeries, such as the Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy (LSG) and the Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric bypass. Dr. Gagner is published in approximately 350 journals, book chapters, and books, and he continues to be a sought-after lecturer all over the world.

Originally from Montreal, Dr. Gagner received his MD from Faculté de Médecine de l'Universite de Sherbrooke and his surgical training from McGill University. He has been granted fellowships in Paris, Massachusetts, New York, Cleveland, Miami, and Strasbourg (France).
